Calcium Chloride is a chemical compound consisting of chlorine and calcium elements with the chemical formula CaCl2. It is slightly bitter in taste and typically appears as white, hard chunks or granules at room temperature. Common applications of calcium chloride include its use as a brine in refrigeration equipment, a road de-icing agent, and a desiccant.
